My husband and I just went to Reims for the weekend and it was wonderful to have an evening meal of champagne, appetizer, fantastic main course with a bottle of red wine, dessert and calvados. Instead of order for the little one, feed the babies, clean everything, order for us, inhale food and drink and run home to get everyone to bed. We love them but sometimes it's nice to remind ourselves that we can do even more than be parents. I get it! Especially if he and I go on a lunch date alone, he is a delight. I could take him anywhere. The 2.5 year old Boychen, not so much. But he's young. This too shall pass.
